OnCourtAI is dedicated to making racquet sports smarter, more accessible, and more enjoyable through data‑driven insights — for tennis and padel players, the coaches who train them, and the shops that equip them.
OnCourtAI was founded in Harrogate by Gareth Shaw. It grew out of a passion for racquet sports and a background in digital tools and analytics — and a simple frustration: the kind of technique analysis that elite players take for granted has always needed expensive cameras, sensors or a coach standing courtside.
We believe every player and coach should have access to professional‑grade analytics. So we built it to work from a single phone video: no wearables, no special equipment, no complex setup. Film a shot, upload it, and within a minute you can see exactly what your body did — and what to work on next.
What started with four tennis strokes now covers padel too, with coaching tools, training plans, live shot scoring and a weekly podcast built on real player data.
Analysis is only useful if it changes how you play — so every number comes with an explanation and a next step.
Serve, forehand, backhand and volley for tennis — plus all nine padel strokes, from the bandeja and víbora to the chiquita.
We track 20+ body points through every frame to measure rotation, swing speed, contact point and how power flows from your hips to the racket.
Every analysis explains what each metric means, what your data shows, and how to improve it — with drills chosen for your weakest areas.
A personalised multi-week training plan built from your results, drawing on a library of 340+ tennis and padel drills.
Point your phone at the court and get each shot scored as you play — then record the session to keep the clips.
Automatic highlight reels of your best shots, score history over time, and country and regional rankings.
Our analysis models are built with real coach input, not just raw data — so the feedback reflects how good coaches actually teach.
Record a stroke side-on with any phone — a tripod or a friend holding it works perfectly.
Pose tracking follows 20+ body points through every frame of the swing.
A dedicated model for each stroke scores the parts that matter — preparation, rotation, contact, follow-through.
Clear scores, what they mean, and drills to fix your biggest weakness first.
Film a shot on any phone and get professional-grade feedback in under a minute — free to start, no kit to buy.
Open the app →The Coach Portal brings your squad into one place: assign analysed videos, set goals and drills, keep private lesson notes and track progress. Every coach starts with a 60-day free trial.
Explore coach tools →Our Racket Finder widget recommends frames from your own catalogue based on a customer’s actual swing — on your site, branded to your store.
See the Racket Finder →If your camera angle can’t measure something reliably, we mark that score as not available instead of showing a misleading number, and flag analyses where the video quality limits what we can see.
Your videos are uploaded and stored with your account so we can analyse them and you can review them later — you can delete any video from the app at any time. Court Report episodes may mention a player’s first name alongside their stroke data. Read our privacy policy.
We check whether players really get better. In our own data, around six in ten players improved — and the forehand improved for roughly eight in ten over a month.
Upload a video of your forehand, backhand, serve or volley and get instant AI coaching feedback in under 30 seconds.
